Patient Preparation

You will need to fill your bladder. Drink 2 pints of water one hour prior to your scan appointment as a full bladder acts like
a window into the internal organs i.e bladder, prostate and kidneys.

A male pelvic ultrasound takes approximately 15 minutes.

A male pelvic scan can identify:

An enlarged prostate
Measure the post-void bladder volume
Assess Kidney obstructions
